According to his arrest report, Israel Anderson Werry and the victim had been in a sexual relationship for about one year.

They have never lived together and do not have any children in common, authorities said.

According to the report, the victim told police that her now-ex-boyfriend is upset with her because he suspects that she was seeing other men while he was in jail.

Police said Werry FaceTimed the victim on April 28 and threatened to “kill her, chop her body into pieces and spread the body parts all over.”

He also threatened to shoot up her home and send “hitters” there, authorities said.

According to the report, the victim was in fear for her life because Werry is a known gang member in the area.

Police said Werry was initially taken into custody Tuesday by Miami-Dade police in reference to another case, but he is now facing a charge of making written threats to kill or do bodily injury in connection with the Florida City incident.

As of Wednesday morning, Werry was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where his bond had yet to be set.
